A nationwide search for the best drone aerial photos that aims to showcase the different captivating locations in the Philippines through the use of DJI™ Drone cameras.

Mechanics

Who Can Join

  • This contest is open to anyone who is of legal age, of any nationality, and is currently residing in the Philippines.
  • Contestants are NOT REQUIRED to purchase anything from Urban Gadgets PH prior to joining the competition.

How to Join

A contestant can join the competition by submitting at least one photo. A maximum of three photo entries is allowed per contestant.

 

Step 1 – Contestant must be a follower of Urban Gadgets PH on Facebook and Instagram before joining.

  • Post your photo(s) on your Facebook or Instagram account and tag at least three of your friends.
  • Photo entry should be a new post in your Facebook or Instagram account.
  • Your photo(s) privacy settings must be set to Public
  • Caption must use these templates:
  • For Facebook “Entry for @Urbangadgetsph Drone Photo Contest 2018”
  • For Instagram “Entry for @urban_gadgets_ph Drone Photo Contest 2018”
  • Caption must indicate the photo’s location, date taken, and the drone camera that was used.
  • Caption must contain these hashtags: #UrbanGadgetsPh #UrbanGadgetsDronePhotoContest2018 #captivatingpinas2018

How to Win

  • Photos must be taken within the Philippines using only a DJI™ Drone.
  • Photo entries will be judged according to the criteria below.
  • 12 Shortlisted entries will be posted on Urban Gadgets PH and Facebook and Instagram accounts.
  • Six (6) entries will be chosen as finalists
Originality Showcasing the beauty of the Philippines using their DJI™ drone. Entries must be unique, and must interpret how captivating our country is.

Visual Impact Entries should be able to capture the audience’s attention.

Content Photos must have a great content, tell a story and should have a “wow” factor.

Popularity 12 Semi Finalists’ photos will be open for public voting via Facebook and Instagram. The most number of “likes” and “shares” will get the highest score in this criterion.

  • Only one (1) entry will be determined as the winner of the grand prize.
  • Finalists and winners will be notified via email and SMS and will be announced on our Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Image Specifications

  • Photos must be taken using only a DJI™ Drone.
  • Photos must be taken only within March 1, 2018 to May 6, 2018
  • Minor photo enhancements are allowed but it is limited only to brightness, contrast, and sharpness, saturation, shadow, highlights
  • Manipulating or adding other elements in the photo will not be accepted.

Voting Period May 9 – May 16, 2018
Announcement of Winners May 19, 2018

How to Claim Prizes

  • Urban Gadgets PH will contact the winners within 3 business days from the date when winners have been announced.
  • Winners from Metro Manila can get their prize in Urban Gadgets PH store that is closest to their location. Winners outside Metro Manila will receive their prize via LBC delivery, Urban Gadgets PH will shoulder shipping costs.
  • Winners must present a valid ID and meta data of the image file will be required from the six finalists verification purposes.
  • Prizes can be claimed until June 30, 2018. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited in favor of Urban Gadgets PH.

Contest Limitations

Employees of Urban Gadgets PH. including their relatives up to second degree of consanguinity are not eligible to join the competition.

Media Release Consent

All entries that will be submitted in this competition gives Urban Gadget PH permission to repost the photos in its website and social media accounts while crediting the photographer.
