Layaway Program

We always hear it from the finance gurus: “Don’t spend what you don’t have,” and yet we rack up loans and credit card bills to fund our passions, our gear.

Here at Urban Gadgets, we’re offering you a Layaway program where you get to set aside a portion of your budget to fund your need for a gadget. Here’s how it works: Just pay 25% upfront and pay in 3 easy installments. We’ll hold on to your gear for you and ship it to you once you finish your payments!

Program Mechanics:

• The layaway program is available for selected regular-priced items with SRP of ₱5,000 and up.
• To be eligible for the Layaway Program, the customer is required to settle a 25% deposit upon checking out on the website.
• The zero percent installment plan is payable in 3 months. Due date will be based on the purchase date.
• Order will be considered “reserved” once 50% of the total amount has been settled.
• Item/s and receipt will be shipped to the customer two (2) business days after the final payment has been verified by our Finance Team.
• Orders under the Layaway Program may be cancelled or terminated due to non-payment.

Sample Payment Schedule

Item purchased: Bose Soundlink Mini Bluetooth Speaker Silver

• Amount: ₱13,000
• Purchase Date: June 25, 2020
• Order Release Date: September 30, 2020 

• A grace period of 72 hours (or 3 calendar days) will be given to customers.
• Failure to settle scheduled payments within the grace period will mean order cancellation.

Sample Computation for Reserved Order

• Order Amount: ₱10,000
• Payments made: ₱5,000 (50%)
• Status: Reserved

Cancellation of Orders

Payments made prior to termination of Layaway Program due to non-payment are refundable up to 40% of the amount deposited. 

Sample Computation for Refund:

• • Order Amount: ₱10,000
  • Amount Settled: ₱7,500
  • Refundable amount: ₱3,000
• A customer who wishes to cancel their order under the Layaway Program must send an email to admin@urbangadgets.ph.
• Refunds will be processed within five (5) business days and will be issued via check.
• Once an order under the Layaway program is cancelled, the reserved items will automatically be released for resale to the next customer in line.

Exceptions

• Should the reserved item reach its end-of-life, an upgrade will be given to the customer free of cost, provided that the SRP is of the same value.
• Additional fees will be charged to the customer to settle the price difference if the SRP of the replacement model is higher than the old model.

Deemed Acceptance

• Customers who purchase orders under the Layaway Program are automatically expected to have read, understood, and accepted the mechanics of the Layaway Program and Urban Gadgets PH Terms and Conditions.
